We’ve become expert in dozens – hundreds – of “free” promotional methods as well as paid ones. Throughout our quest for IM knowledge we’ve tried untold numbers of systems, services and software programs – always looking for “the one!” And we’ve spent thousands of dollars trying to educate ourselves, as you can imagine. You probably have too, by now. So, knowing all this, what we’re about to tell you COULD not only save you thousands more, but also months of work – and – it could help you become profitable online faster than just about any other method we’ve tried so far. And what it is… is a phenomenal program-service hybrid called Axandra IDP Business Promoter. It’s all the best and most serious marketing tools rolled into one. Actually – scratch that. I haven’t seen better tools yet, so a more accurate way to describe it is to simply say that it’s a treasure trove of the best SEO tools on the market. Bar none. Feel free to click on the link to the right of this text and just order the damned thing! 🙂 Really. I wish I knew of this program months ago. It would have saved me countless hours of lost sleep, thousands of bucks – and my sanity. I can just say WOW. It really rocks. Especially when you consider all the pathetic alternatives and all those whacked “guru systems” which just suck you dry and almost NEVER deliver. IBP is not a “guru” system....
Online Banking

Online Banking

In this section I’m not really talking about your ordinary online banking – the kind that your bank probably provides, where you can check your balance, etc. Here, we’re looking at the most convenient ways to collect payments on the web. There are many good services out there, and they differ not so much in the quality or scope of their service as, simply, in their popularity. Today, by far the most popular such service is PayPal. A word of caution: as we’ve seen from the recent WikiLeaks fiasco, PayPal is not loyal to their customers and will play ball with anyone in government who has enough clout. With this in mind, you’d be crazy to put your eggs in just this one basket. Ideally, provide multiple payment options. In this manner, another market leader will eventually emerge, and sellouts won’t be rewarded. (Sorry, I had to rant at this point!) PayPal allows you to create 3 types of accounts, a personal one and two business types (one for a one-man business and one for a company). In all cases, you have certain hoops to jump through, and in the case of a personal account, you can’t do more than a couple of thousands US$ before they stop you cold. In case of the business accounts, they require you provide all the valid tax documentation – once you reach around $2k in turnover. PayPal accepts all the major cards as well as, of course, other PayPal accounts, and it also allows you to create payment buttons and shooping carts, etc, and is generally a decent-enough (if rather difficult to...
Auto-Responder Basics

Auto-Responder Basics

When you’re dealing with lots of automated correspondence, nothing can substitute an auto-responder. But there’s much more to a good auto-responder than just replying to mails. An autoresponder can be used to build and maintain a mailing list (a simple membership site!), pitch special offers to members and even perform certain conditional functions. A good autoresponder will alos help you put together your lead-capture pages, followup emails, distribute your free gifts, carry out scheduled mailouts – and will keep track of a virtually unlimited number of campaigns (and individual members) for you. Knowing this, a choice of the “right” autoresponder is very important. Some marketers insist that this is the single most important weapon you’ll ever have in your IM arsenal. Some autoresponders are free, but the really good ones are almost always subscription-based. My favorite is aWeber, but there are other excellent ones out there as well (see further below). Here’s a typical (very simple) flow you’ll encounter on many marketing sites: Landing page, requesting a signup (opt-in form) in exchange for a free gift Email confirmation Thank you email along with the free gift Pitch page, offering a great product, linked to PayPal or other online bank – or to ClickBank Upon payment, thank you email along with a link to the download page Regular (monthly?) followup and special offers That’s the essence of what an autoresponder will do for you, once you’ve set it up. This is what they mean by an “auto-pilot income” on the web. They only way that’s possible is if you have an autoresponder! Here are six tips you should use whenever...
Outsourcing Your IM

Outsourcing Your IM

If there is ONE SECRET I wish I had known when I started in IM, this would be the one. But perhaps I should say it differently. I DID KNOW about it, but I just did not appreciate what it really meant. I made the same mistake most of you make. Hey I got all these different skills, why pay someone else to do what I can do better? I forgot a few basic truths: (a) my time is better spent working ON my business and not FOR it!, (b) while working FOR my business even a workaholic like me can hit a burnout. I certainly did. (c) some of the tasks you must perform are devilishly mundane. The Reason why 99% of you FAIL in internet marketing is BECAUSE OF THOSE TASKS. Just take one SMALL example. Say you want to submit your site to all the different directories. You’ll quickly learn that auto-submitters either don’t work very well – or at all. So, you’ll find yourself enterting, or at least “confirming” auto-submitted data for each and every one of the hundreds… thousands of directories. How much time would that take you? How much MENTAL time? TOO MUCH, for such a stupid task. You can outsource this for a few lousy bucks and have it done better and faster than you ever could, by people who specialize in this. All internet marketers (myself included) start out with the WRONG mindset: let’s make money FOR FREE. I’ve yet to meet a marketer who’s succeeded in this. No. You MUST spend SOME money. Just make sure you spend it wisely....
Designing & Coding Your Site

Designing & Coding Your Site

Website design tips Provide compelling content / something of value C1. Make sure each page in your website has something valuable to offer. Though this doesn’t really relate to design, it’s actually more important than design, which is why it’s the very first tip. I know that many people reading this page are trying to find out how to make useless pages look pretty, because they think that style is all that really matters.  So let’s step back a minute and realize that fundamentally a web page exists to provide something that’s useful or interesting to visitors.  If your page doesn’t have that, then you must fix that problem before you worry about how to present it.  If you throw mud at a canvas, then even if it’s in a gold frame, it’s still just a canvas of mud.  What are you offering to your visitors?  Why is it worth their time to visit your site?  Please focus on that before you move on to how it should look. If your plan is to make money from advertising, then go for a ratio of not less than 75% editorial to 25% advertising. Amazingly, I see some sites that are almost nothing but ads.  We know that no one would turn on the TV if it were just commercials, and no programs, or buy a magazine if it were just ads, and no articles.  By the same token, a website also has to have more than ads if it’s to be successful. Avoid Sleazy Elements Visit our companion site, Problem Websites. Z1. Don’t distract your visitors with blinking or scrolling...
Hosting Your Site

Hosting Your Site

Introduction Knowing how to select a hosting company is an important and challenging task. Businesses worldwide are under pressure to cut operating costs to pay for their server and security agents. A company’s e-mail, website and other internet technology solutions are difficult to manage. In addition, many companies view these necessities as a significant cost/inhibitor. As a result, hosting companies can appear to reduce the cost of having e-mail, a website and other internet technology solutions. Below are the benefits and services that are important to look for when seeking a hosting company. Steps 1. Technical Support Seek to find a hosting company that will deliver technical support whenever your company needs it. A quick response to your technical problems is a must. Make sure the hosting company you select has 24/7 support and service. It is important that your site be up and running around the clock. 2. Uptime Look for preferably a 99.9% uptime. 99% is the industry standard, but most hosting companies offer more. 3. Money Back It is better to go for a host that offers a money-back guarantee. That way, you would be able to try out for yourself their services. And on the hosting company’s part, it is a sign of confidence that they do not have to resort to tying down their customers with long-term contracts and/or setup fees. 4. Disk Space A full standard website with flash and graphics does not need much disk space. Consider getting more disk space than the current need for future growth. 5. Bandwidth Bandwidth means your website is accessible. Consider opting for a package with...
Paid Advertising at a Glance

Paid Advertising at a Glance

Paid Advertising In General Look at paid advertising as your cost of doing business. The disadvantage is that it’s a bit more “painful” if you don’t have much money, but the advantage is that it gets results quicker than most other methods. Remember that  once you work out your advertising strategy you should no longer think of how much it will cost – just think of how much it will make! (And a word of cautiion: don’t dream of making $100,000 if you can’t sell for $10 first…!). Once you’ve found the right formula – simply duplicate it. This is by far one of the most successful earning models on the web today. An important thing to know about paid advertising is that if it’s not accompanied by “organic” promotions such as the majority of what is described on this site, it will, typically, only work for as long as you continue paying. But a combination of paid and organic promotional techniques can produce a sustainable and successful business. Don’t go into paid advertising until you’ve got everything else under control. It’s all too easy to misjudge what is required, and the advertising costs can add up very quickly if you’re not careful. It’s essential that you first master at least the basics of SEO and niche research before you go into this one. Paid ads require vigilant testing and tracking, and… at least a little money you can afford to lose. You also need to develop an awareness of your target niche, the overall market and the best timing. But once you do, paid advertising can become probably...

Warrior Forum Special Offers

One of the most helpful places to start your online marketing career is where all the marketers hang out. Places like Warrior Forum. And if you have a product of your own with which you’d like some help, very few places on the Internet can compete with WSO’s (Warrior’s Special Offers) for their ability to actually help you get going. AdWords

AdWords

Google’s advertising network is referred to as Google AdWords. The way the Google Adwords network operates is by allowing advertisers to bid on an endless selection of keywords that they believe may be typed into the Google search engine in search of information. When an advertiser bids on a specific keyword, and they bid a high enough price, the result is that their ad will appear in a special segment of the search engine results pages for that keyword which is located both above the regular search engine results (shaded in yellow) and along the right side of the page as well. If an advertiser does have an ad appear in one of these places, and a search user happens to click on the advertisement, traveling to the advertiser’s optimized landing page, then the advertiser will be charged based on the bid amount. This means that the advertiser is only paying for advertising when the ad is actually being clicked rather than simply for having it displayed. The advertiser does not have to pay for the ad to appear, they only have to pay for the traffic that they actually receive as a result. What is paid for each click is going to be determined by what other advertisers are bidding for the same keyword. It will also depend on the relevancy of the ad within the Google Network based on what the keyword is. This Google AdWords system has become an excellent way for internet marketers, business owners and other advertisers to acquire leads. However, it is important to know that in order for Google AdWords to work...
Media Buys Basics

Media Buys Basics

Media buying, sounds complicated doesn’t it? It needn’t be. Are you ready to learn how to conduct media buying by completing five steps? Step 1 – Identify your target market. Who are you trying to reach? Who is your target market? Create a profile that reflects the consumer you are trying to reach. Questions you may want to ask yourself: What is their age? Are they male or female? What’s their average income? The answers to these questions will be helpful when trying to identify the best venue in which to place media. Step 2 – Research your target market. Once you’ve identified your target market, it’s time to do some market research. You can do your own research, which is called primary research or you can depend on secondary research that’s already been done. There are cost benefits to secondary research. In this step, you want to identify where you will find your target market, as well as other demographics that can assist you in selecting the right media buy. Will you find your target market online? Are they television watchers? What about magazines? What marketing vehicles will work best when it comes to placing advertisements? It’s important to understand the consumer behavior of those that you are targeting. This will help in placing a media buy that is effective and performs by achieving your identified objectives. Research can help you in doing this. Research can also provide you with information on what your competitors are doing and where they are going to reach the audience you are trying to reach. Step 3 – Set your objectives. Don’t...
